Super Typhoon Karding made its landfall in the Philippines on Sunday, September 25. Several areas in Luzon and Metro Manila suffered the effects of the said typhoon.
Following the news and updates regarding the super typhoon, several organizations have made efforts to organize donation drives and relief operations to be able to support the victims of “Karding”. To get involved, here are donation drives where you can extend your help:
1. FOR FARMERS PH, INC.
The non-profit organization that focuses on helping and uplifting local farmers is open for donations to give assistance to local farmers and fisherfolk. The organization accepts monetary donations.
2. ATENEO DE MANILA UNIVERSITY
One of the top universities in the Philippines is once again accepting monetary donations for the victims of Karding PH.
3. BAHAGHARI PH
A non-governmental and non-profit organization, Bahaghari, is organizing a donation drive to extend help to those who are affected by the Typhoon Karding. The organization is also looking for volunteers.
4. POP EMERGENCY PH
Pop Emergency PH organized a fundraising event for the victims of Typhoon Karding. All the proceeds of the event will go to Angat Buhay PH. The event will be on October 1, 9:00 PM at Quezon City. The event will also be streamed via Zoom at 10:00 PM.
5. TULONG KABATAAN PH
Tulong Kabataan PH is accepting in-kind and monetary donations for their relief efforts for those individuals affected by the typhoon.
6. YOUTH ADVOCATE FOR CLIMATE ACTION PHILIPPINES
The Youth Advocate for Climate Action Philippines is once again calling for climate justice as Super Typhoon Karding hits the Philippines. The organization is also calling for monetary donations for affected individuals in the NCR and Luzon.
7. TULONG KABATAAN PH AND UP DILIMAN UNIVERSITY STUDENT COUNCIL
Tulong Kabataan, along with the UP Diliman University Student Council, is once again launching “IskoOps”. They are accepting monetary and in-kind donations and asking for volunteers to help during the donation drive.
8. SERVE THE PEOPLE CORPS – LAGUNA
Save The People Corps – Laguna is calling for donations, both monetary and in-kind donations.
9. PATRENG NON / COMMUNITY PANTRY PH
The person who started the famous community pantry is once again extending help to those individuals who are affected by Karding. Non, along with Community Pantry PH, is accepting in-kind and monetary donations. They are also looking for volunteer riders who can help with delivering goods and meals.
10. CNU BIOLOGICAL SOCIETY
Cebu Normal University Biological Society, along with Project Tanglaw, Project Hope, and Bayan ni Juan Movement PH, organized a donation drive. They are accepting in-kind and monetary donations. They are also currently looking for volunteers to help with the donation drive.
11. TANGING YAMAN FOUNDATION
Tanging Yaman Foundation is currently accepting in-kind and monetary donations. The foundation also reminded that they will not be accepting used clothes for the said donation drive.
12. KATRIBU YOUTH
Lingkod Katribu is accepting monetary and in-kind donations for indigenous families.
13. FRONTLINERS’ KITCHEN
Frontliners’ Kitchen is extending help to all affected areas of the typhoon. The group is accepting monetary and in-kind donations.
14. TASK FORCE CHILDREN OF THE STORM
Task Force Children Of The Storm is currently collecting donations for the “Tulong Paslit Mobile Kitchen.” They will be providing hot meals for kids and families. The organization is accepting monetary and in-kind donations.
15. LIFE CORE PHILIPPINES
Life Core Philippines is accepting monetary and in-kind donations. Donors may contact the page for pick up and drop off locations.
16. KMP – PEASANT MOVEMENT OF THE PHILIPPINES
KMP is accepting monetary and in-kind donations to extend help to farmers and fisherfolk in Luzon.
